Panini( pressed bread)

Difficulty: 2 stars

Time : 15-20 minutes

This type one is similar to a quicky sandwich but it requires a bit more time and love, also some extra meat and a bit of your time. The new result will be phenomenal but I assure you that you will not regret it.

Items

• Olive oil

• 2 slices of bread

• Your choice of sliced meat( usually turkey slices or chicken slices)

• Pepper or cilantro

• Cheese( American is the cheapest)

• Your choice of vegetables ( tomatoes, lettuce)

• Skillet

• Another frying pan

how Its made

First start of by adding some olive oil on the insides of the bread, just enough to cover it. Then add some American cheese or other types of grated cheese if you are fancy.

Add your choice of meat inside and top it off with some seasoning, usually cilantro does the trick. Finally add some more olive oil when you have close up your sandwich.

While you are making the sandwich you should preheat your skillet. Now comes the tricky part. Add your butter at low to medium heat, but don’t let it brown.

During this time also heat up another smaller pan which we will use as a press. Now add your sandwich into the pan with your melted butter and place your heated pan over it, this will help to create the panini’s iconic flat compressed shape.

Let the pan sit on top for 4 to 5 minutes; then remove the heated pan and using a spatula place your panini on a cutting board.

I know it will smell amazing but don’t start biting down, for some healthy toppings we will open up our panini and add some of our veggies. Now put the bread back together and cut the panini in 2 pieces. Now enjoy your homemade panini.
