Hard boiled/ soft boiled eggs

Difficulty: 1 star

Time: 1-15minutes

This is the simplest dish known to mankind. If a 5 year old can do this on YouTube then I am sure that anyone can. Depending on if you like a runny yolk or a hard one. ( Yolk : the yellow runny thing the centre of the egg.)

• Pot

• Eggs

• Lid

• Water

Add enough water in the pot to comfortably submerge the eggs. Do not add the eggs now, just the pot of water .

Boil your water as this produces better results when peeling the eggs in the end. Then gently submerge the eggs in the water and cover the pot with a lid.

For a soft boiled egg boil between 2-6 minutes, this produces a molten interior if boiled for a the minimum time. If boiled for 6 minutes the yolk will have a soft spongy texture.

A hard boiled egg will take between 8-15 minutes. If boiled for the 8 minutes the interior will be firm but not brittle. But if boiled for 15 minutes the core will be brittle and a dull yellow colour.
