There are a variety of cheeses available at the supermarket and most of them are cheap and easy to use in any dish. For example, American cheese, Gouda cheese, halloumi, paneer and so on. All these cheeses have different uses and today we will explore some of them.

Gouda cheese is a slightly sweet and also has a slight bitter taste. This makes it amazing for Mac and cheese or even salads. It’s main selling point is it’s price, for about 13 euros a kilogram you can get quality cheese and just 40 grams of it will bring out such amazing taste in your salads or sandwiches.

The paneer is an India style of cheese which can be used as a vegetarian substitute to chicken. It is simple to make food using it and tastes amazing even when uncooked. For the vegetarian population, this is an amazing source of protein and other minerals. If you want you can heat it up on a pan and add a few slices to your sandwich or scramble it like an egg and mix it up with vegetables to make a veggie tortilla.

Halloumi is a Greek cheese made from goat milk. Though it might run you a hard bargain you have to try it. Just roasting it for a minute on the grill with give a Smokey yet smooth flavour. Normally enjoyed with Greek salads it is amazing as a side dish.
